Hey, hey, Aron here!
I left behind everything in my life to start a trip from Hungary to Patagonia in December 2024 without flying – well mostly.
I’m still on this trip and I’ sharing my thoughts in this blog, sometimes about life, sometimes about faith and sometimes about AI. Sometimes about nonsense stuff.
I’ve started this blog after crossing the Atlantic sailing. I didn’t know where this would be running out to, but after arriving to land spending over a month on sea, I had an urge to write. And writing never stopped eversince.
Join me on this journey of transformation and personal growth!
Day 675: How do you prepare to go to the end of the world alone?
Foreword I’ve always considered this travel project as a pilot / experimental entrepreneurial project of mine. Take it with a grain of salt, but you may eventually still find inspiration here for your own ideas, or how to approach a project you’ve been dreaming about but never really dared to eventually try out yourself. Can…
Keep readingDay 647: I Made ChatGPT Debate with Claude About Singularity — Then Asked Grok to Judge Their Evaluation And Then ChatGPT to Write Me a Blogpost About The Whole Thing
Foreword: 1. I asked Chatgpt when does it predict realistically the arrival of singularity. 2. Then I went to Claude with Chatgpt’s answer to check if the predictions seem correct. Claude presented a whole different concept of how singularity could be measured, which seemed like the underlying assessment of the CEOs of the 2 companies…
Keep readingDay 646: The person who I was before leaving and what I left behind exactly
This title sounds so narcissistic that I kinda like it. Like I would be Jake Sully turning into a fucking Avatar, leaving my old body behind. The journey around my head continues and you are welcome to join. This blogpost will be another Youtube episode in some time so I need to recollect my memories…
Keep readingDay 645: What did I learn after making 2 Youtube videos and where I need to improve
She sells seashells on the seashore. Funny where inspiration can come from. Somewhere October 2025, while still in Guatemala, I’ve been going through a darker period of my trip, this heartbreak thing, that I detailed in one of the earlier posts. I’ve been heavily listening to Ren, an otherworldly talented Welsh rapper, whose song Money…
Keep readingDay 637: Why someone decides to go to the end of the world alone?
As I wrote in the last blogpost, I had this brilliant idea. And the brilliant idea was, that I would write a blogpost about the topics, that I would later transform into Youtube videos. The idea is that this blogpost later gets transformed into a script. The script gets transformed into a video. Why this…
Keep readingDay 634: Everything I learned about Youtube. And I haven’t even started.
No prompting, no Chatgpt involved on this one. This will be my own full writing. I promise. Okay, maybe some fancy, AI powered jpegs. But that’s it. Also, well, this title maybe misleading because it suggests, that I will go on Youtube and be the next unicorn rocking 100k views with my first videos. It’s…
Keep readingDay 634: I am responsible for Nepal.
Tonight I had this thought that, fuck. I might be responsible – at least partially for what has happened in Nepal. I was lazy to write a blogpost about this, but I asked Chatgpt to help me out. So I prompted it saying: write a blogpost in my writing style with the title ‘I am…
Keep readingDay 629: I asked AI about the future of humanity so you don’t have to
I wanted to ask an AI a question I don’t think we ask often enough. Not because I expected it to know the future. But because I wanted to see what happens when you put all the uncomfortable variables on the table at once. So I started with climate change, resource consumption, war and geopolitics.…
Keep readingDay 628: In the world of AI
I don’t really know where to start with this one. Which is probably a good sign. Because usually when I know exactly what I want to say before I start writing, I end up writing something that sounds much more intelligent than I actually am. And I don’t want this to be one of those.…
Keep readingDay 242: El camino del corazón, the anatomy of a heartbreak through poems aka the possible downfalls of traveling with an open heart and why it’s still worth it
I called Erik (the captain, friend and mentor I’ve crossed the ocean with) a few days ago telling him my situation. I was supposed to meet someone very important to me down in Guatemala, at Lago Atitlan, but she has dropped the ball in our connection kinda last minute. I was heartbroken for days. We…
Keep readingDay 231: Cutting the Gordian knot by flying over to Mexico and the next itinerary to progress down south to Guatemala touching key sights in some Mexican states
Made it to Mexicocity after cutting the Gordian knot of how to progress to mainland America from St Maarten in the Caribbeans. This was a bittersweet decision to make, because I was conflicted with the idea of trying to progress without fly from the Caribbeans via boat, but as 1. I have found myself in…
Keep readingDay 220: Casually chatting with sailors and ChatGPT about hurricanes aka creating the possible route to reach Panama or Colombia from St Maarten by boat with the current conditions. A blog post with an easter egg.
Coming back to St Maarten I had to realize that I came back to the island in the right middle of the hurricane season. After I looked up Beryl’s work last year on the southern islands, especially in Carriacou, it made me second guess if I want to be out on the open sea, while…
Keep readingDay 214: Planning the next steps on high level, aka how to exit St Maarten in a strategic fashion
Back in St Maarten completing the STCW boat course this week. First things first, back in the US, I have realized, that I don’t want to buy my own boat. It’s important to highlight this one, because in “The Dilemma” post, I have extensively talked about the option of buying my own boat. Maybe once…
Keep readingDay 193: Reflections, aka over half year on the road from Hungary to Patagonia… Are you still sure about that?
It’s time to stop for a bit and look back how this travel looks so far in numbers. Btw, I think I screwed up counting the days. Anywho. I started to draft down the number of countries (10+1 territory), islands (4), continents (3) I’ve touched during this trip so far. Also did some calculations of…
Keep readingDay 160: Ikigai, aka the reason why I have hi-jacked my ‘no-fly’ travel project
Yesterday I was on my way to Bermuda from Miami approx 10.000 meters above the sea, and had some confused, tangled thoughts around this trip. Erik taught me the indian phrase, that he learned while hitchhiking through Mexico in his earlier days: ‘don’t travel faster, than your soul could follow.’ I feel, now I’ve been…
Keep readingDay 144: Follow the flow
Feeling a bit overwhelmed with some inevitable changes already happening or coming up soon, so I feel I have to write about them. When traveling long-term, one has to accept the either expected or unexpected turn of events that can shape the outlook of the experience. The end of the triumvirate aka the wet butt…
Keep readingDay 128: The best story from the travel so far
In the hostel we’ve met a seasoned captain, who is doing boat deliveries, with heavy sea-miles under his belt. Boat deliveries are a well-running business in the sea-captain scene; that’s when boats are being delivered from A to B all over the world. He’s a great talking buddy and just about to cross the ocean…
Keep readingDay 126: The Dilemma
This is the first rest day, since I started working on the island of St Martin/Maarten and I’m having a hard time getting a feel for it. Surely I’m on the Caribbeans, but instead of going to snorkel or just chilling on the beach, having a lot of time makes me feel anxious as my…
Keep readingDay 101: Richard Branson, the gates of Narnia and plastic orgy
Okay this might be a clickbait overkill title. You can tell after reading. Moving into the cheapest possible room in a hostel today on the island, next to the Marigot anchorage in San Martin with 5 sqms and no windows. 55EUR for a night for two, apparently, the best deal you can make on this…
Keep reading100 days
Of what? And why there is no day one? What happened with the rest of the days? You may ask. So let me guide you through. I’m 100 days in on my travel project to get from Hungary to Patagonia without a commercial flight. I even gave it a name, Destination: Journey aka Project Patagonia.…
Keep readingFirst things first
Alright, let’s begin. Starting a blog, ha. Will try to keep this going, whenever I give birth to thoughts worth jotting down and have the occasion to write something. Sometimes though, occasionally it will happen – out of my own control of course, that I will jot things down not worthing it. Like at all.…
